Bio

David hope blends experiences and music into his own vehicle for story telling. He unites the intimacy of his rural coastal upbringing with a Nashville sound to create a unique sonic perspective that is original, yet familiar.
combining the lyricism of Jason Isbell and the nostalgia of tom petty,  he creates an alternative style that gains inspiration from rock, americana, pop, and fellow songwriters that fuses honest words with thoughtful melodies.

David grew up in Pescadero California, one of the few small towns that is nestled between the redwood forests of the santa cruz mountains and the pacific ocean. a mix of hippies, techies, farmers, and bikers supplied a wide variety of musical influences.
"during summers when i was a kid, my parents would always open all the windows and doors and blast music.  Allman brothers, ac/dc, the beatles, eagles, and linda ronstadt seemed to always be at the top of their stack of cds. i used to sing the beach boys in the car with my grandpa on the way to school and green day with my mom on road trips. it was a wild mix"

in 2016 he moved to nashville for nursing school but left shortly after his second year to spend more time songwriting and honing his craft. the music scene in nashville was it's own education and provided the right mix of stimulation and support for creativity.

He now resides back in pescadero where he continues to write and play.
